Project Title

Internship in Wafer Fabrication Process/Equipment Engineering

Project Objective

Wafer fabrication forms the cornerstone of electronics and the semiconductor supply chain. It commences with an unprocessed silicon substrate, progressing through multiple stages to craft the essential IC chips driving electronic devices. Rigorous controls are established to oversee critical processing steps, enabling the early identification of anomalies and ensuring the final wafer's quality upon completion.

Project Description

Interns will enjoy exclusive access to invaluable insights and hands-on involvement within Global Foundries' cutting-edge semiconductor manufacturing facilities. By shadowing industry experts and actively participating in Fab operations, you will attain a profound comprehension of the wafer fabrication process. you will be presented with various opportunities to engage in activities like management roundtables and inter-department networking, fostering collaborative interactions. Interns will consolidate their knowledge and ha ve the opportunity to contribute valuable recommendations for process enhancements.

Interested applicants should be inquisitive and have a positive learning attitude.

Project Outcome

Interns will acquire hands-on experience in the semiconductor industry, demonstrating a good understanding of both process and equipment modules.

Upon the conclusion of the internship, interns are expected to deliver a presentation summarizing their learning experiences, including insightful recommendations for process enhancements.

Degree in in Chemical Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science Engineering, Chemistry & Physics
