Job Summary:

The Signmaker will work, as part of a team, to produce, construct and install in-house produced signage and nametags for the resort. Our ideal candidate will have experience in design, fabrication, and installation of various sign types and styles. This position work alongside the advanced signmaker and will be asked to fill in during the Advanced Signmaker's absence.

Job Specifications:

  • Housing: May Be Available

  • Expected Pay Range: $22.00 - $27.22 / hour

  • Shift & Schedule Availability:  Full Time, Year Round

  • Skill Level: Intermediate

Job Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for production, installation, and maintenance of signage throughout the resort.

  • Maintain neat, organized work environment to ensure safe operation, and efficient production of signage.

  • Requires strong communication skills, and attention to detail with a good command of the English language.

  • Responsible for tracking materials and time, and maintaining all sign related machinery, supplies, and equipment.

  • Ability to work in a fast paced, energetic environment with other team members and at times with little supervision.

  • Ski/Snowboard around both mountains to install and maintain on mountain signage.

  • Assist other departments as needed.

  • Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements:

  • Computer literate and proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications. Previous experience with Corel Draw, Adobe Illustrator, and Photoshop preferred.

  • Must be able to stand for extended periods of time, to bend, lift and carry 40+ lbs – required.

  • Must be available to work weekends and holidays as requested – required.

  • Previous sign design and production experience – preferred.

  • Previous painting and carpentry experience – preferred.

  • Valid Class 5 B.C. driver’s license, satisfactory driver’s abstract (21yrs for short-term lease vehicles) – required.

  • Intermediate to advanced ski/board ability – required.

  • Clear criminal record check – required.
