Independent Health Employer Group Reporting Research Analyst-Associate in United States

Overview

The Employer Group Reporting Research Analyst-Associate will develop data base reports for employer groups which will assist the group in understanding their members health. Utilizing this data, the analyst will create recommendations for the employer groups that will get better health outcomes, improve access to high quality care, improve member engagement in their own health, and improve the members health care experience. The Associate Analyst will be expected to run reports, analyze data, suggest new ideas, and present data aimed at improving health outcomes, quality of care, and access to care.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative/research discipline required.

  • One (1) year of analytics experience required or an advanced degree in a quantitative/research discipline, to include research/intern experience.

  • Experience in a managed health care environment preferred.

  • Knowledge of Independent Health EDW, Health Rules, and Power data and structures preferred.

  • Knowledge of healthcare concepts and Healthcare data for example CPT, HCPCS, DRG, ICD-10/ICD-9 Code, etc. preferred.

  • Fundamental knowledge of data mining concepts preferred.

  • Knowledge of data mining tools, for example SQL, SAS, R, Python, etc. preferred.

  • Knowledge of reporting tools, for examples: Excel, Milliman – MedInsight, Business Objects, SAS Visual Analytic, Qlik, etc. preferred.

  • Knowledge of industry analytical concepts (courses or certification preferred).

  • Excellent problem-solving, interpersonal, analytical, and critical thinking skills.

  • Ability to work in a remote or office environment.

  • Ability to frame questions that create value for the business partners.

  • Ability to present and communicate output and analysis in a meaningful way that meets the understanding needs of the business partners.

  • Ability to innovate and enhance existing solutions. Proven examples of displaying the IH values: Passionate, Caring, Respectful, Trustworthy, Collaborative and Accountable.

Essential Accountabilities

  • Maintain a close working relationship with the Commercial and Self-Funded teams

  • Maintain a standardized process that will serve as a consistent method to producing employer group performance reports (EPRs)

  • Address all employer and broker related data requests that pertain to Employer group costs, utilization, demographics, healthcare outcomes, or clinical indicators

  • Complete ad-hoc reports requested by internal and external clients.

  • Review and validate data and findings prior to releasing report to Q/A analyst and customer to ensure accuracy.

  • Perform day to day work according to department standards and company guidelines.

Hiring Compensation Range: $60,000 - $70,000 annually

Compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to skills, education, location and experience.

In addition to base compensation, associates may be eligible for a scorecard incentive, full range of benefits and generous paid time off. The base salary range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
