Anavon Technology Group Field Service Technician in Traverse City, Michigan

Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Field Service Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in installing and supporting access control systems, security camera systems, and networking infrastructure.  The ideal candidate would additionally be experienced in cable routing, cable management, and network rack design.  The Field Service Technician will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality services to our clients, ensuring their systems are installed, configured, and maintained to the highest standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot access control systems, security camera systems, and networking infrastructure.

  • Perform cable routing, cable management, and cable terminations according to industry best practices.

  • Design and install network racks to optimize performance and efficiency.

  • Conduct site surveys and assessments to determine project requirements.

  • Collaborate with clients and internal teams to ensure project goals are met within specified timelines.

  • Provide technical support and assistance to clients both remotely and on-site.

  • Document all installations, configurations, and service activities accurately.

  • Adhere to safety protocols and regulations at all times.

  • Participate in on-call rotations and overnight work for downstate projects once trained on our products.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical certifications are a plus.

  • Some experience in installing and supporting access control systems, security camera systems, and networking infrastructure.

  • Strong knowledge of cable routing, cable management, and cable terminations.

  • Familiarity with network rack design and installation.

  • Excellent troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.

  • Willingness to work on-call and participate in overnight projects when required.
