Hyatt Park Hyatt Tokyo – Director of Rooms in TOKYO, Japan

Description:

  • To represent the Rooms function on the hotel's Leadership Committee.

  • Supports the implementation of Hyatt’s purpose, demonstrating and reinforcing Hyatt’s Values and Culture Characteristics.

  • To ensure the smooth and efficient running of all operational aspects of the Rooms Division and to ensure that the various departments are run according to the standards set for the brand in general and the hotel specifically

  • To ensure that all associates deliver Park Hyatt brand promise and provide exceptional guest service at all times

  • To spend time in public areas observing employee-guest interaction and talking with guests, working through Heads of Department to coach employees in guest service skills as necessary.

  • To handle all guest and internal customer complaints and inquiries in a courteous and efficient manner, following through to make sure problems are resolved satisfactorily.

  • To ensure that the Rooms activities are aligned with the respective Corporate Strategy, and that the Hotel Actions have been implemented where appropriate.

  • To ensure that each profit center (Rooms, Spa, Business Center etc.) is operated in line with maximizing profit while delivering on the brand promise.

  • To ensure that each cost center (Guest Services, etc.), operates with the lowest possible cost structure while also delivering on the brand promise to the guest.

Qualifications:

● With a degree in Hospitality or Business Management

● Has minimum 2 (Two) years experience in a similar position in 5 (five) stars International Hotel Chain

● Previous experience in Luxury Hotel or international experience are advantages

● Strong in leadership and business acumen

● Excellent English communication skills, strong guest service mindset and people management & development skills
