We are looking to hire a qualified Lumber Yard Lead for our client's needs in the Port of Tacoma. This position will have you working in a lumber yard and will be working both indoors and outdoors. This position requires attention to detail in an industrial setting. This is a contract-to-hire position.

Compensation: $23/hr

Location: Tacoma, WA

Schedule: Monday - Friday occasional Saturdays, 7a - 3:30p OR 9a - 5:30p, OT as needed

Responsibilities:

• Operate a sit-down forklift 
• Pick lumber using pick sheets
• Cut lumber to specified requirements
• Stage lumber for orders in the designated area
• Use a chainsaw to cut lumber
• Conduct inventory cycle counts as needed

• Conduct routine inspections on the forklift and chainsaw

   

Requirements:

• Be able to pass a drug test and a background check
• At least 1 year of experience in a Lead role
• Be able to push/pull/lift 50 lbs regularly
• Be able to operate a chainsaw
• 2 years of experience on sit-down forklift

• Attention to detail
