Job Description

The function of this position is to perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on Stryker platform and associated equipment to bring the fleet to a 1020 standard. You will conduct quality checks of vehicles in accordance with de-processing check sheets and Joint Technical Inspection forms. You will handle equipment modification and installation, assist team members in technical areas as needed, and perform safety operations, preventative maintenance checks and hold organizational maintenance procedures. Additionally, you will actively engage in promoting a workplace free from environmental health and safety related hazards including training and ensuring proper use of personnel protective equipment as deemed appropriate.

Skills and Requirements

· 2-5 years' experience as a mechanic -- maintenance on tactical/combat vehicles preferred (91B, 91S, 63S, 63W or 63B)

 · Documented commercial training and/or experience acceptable in lieu of military vehicle experience

 · Ability to obtain and maintain a NACI clearance for access to other US installations including JBLM

 · Comfort working in confined space -- inside vehicle

 · Working knowledge with Microsoft Office software including Word, Excel, Power Point

 · Comfort working in a fast-paced environment

 · Ability to gain and maintain access to JBLM and other military bases

 · Must be able to maintain US Passport

Must be US Citizen · Experience on Stryker, LAV 2.5 or LAV III

 · Demonstrate good housekeeping skills and communication skills
