Job Summary
Reporting to the Director, Population Health, the Regional Practice Administrator of Quality Operations is responsible for planning, developing, coordinating, administration, and implementation of curriculum and education/training during both the start-up and subsequent operational phases of multiple ambulatory physician practices. Responsibilities include designing techniques and auditing effectiveness of both training/education related to clinic operations and workflow, including the Electronic Medical Record and quality initiative programs. Practice sites may include both primary care and specialty care offices.
Essential Functions
Operationalize local and system level Patient Centered Medical Home (PCMH) and Patient Centered Medical Home Neighborhood (PCMH-N) activities and other quality initiatives, including but not limited to: education of practice staff related to capability guidelines, development and standardization of capabilities, partnering with Physician Organization in performing validation site visits and leading Beaumont Medical Group PCMH/PCMH-N meetings, and development of strategies and tactics for pollination of the Patient Centered Medical Home and Patient Centered Medical Home Neighborhood paradigm.
Participate in the implementation of plans and programs; analyze practice operations and needs to determine potential enhancements or improvements to clinical procedures and activities; develop and/or recommend supporting policies and procedures. Works in collaboration with Beaumont Health IT to develop and educate on associated workflows and requirements to meet payers’ initiatives.
Trains and provides education support related to clinical workflows, with significant focus on the Electronic Medical Record (EMR). Along with the practice managers and RPAs, coordinates Meaningful Use activities including education around documentation requirements; assists in the attestation processes and support audit process as needed.
Assists in developing, coordinating, and implementing education/training for the practice staff (Practice Managers and Medical Assistants). Assist with coordination of staff orientation and skill validation processes, as applicable and within the scope of practice. Assists in designing training techniques and evaluating effectiveness of training based on requests and/or needs, operational gaps, surveys, and audits.
Serves as a clinical liaison to organizational, departmental, and regulatory policies/procedures/guidelines and standards of care. Serves as a mentor/resource for clinical practice team.
Qualifications
Preferred Bachelor's Degree in healthcare administration or similar program.
3 years of relevant experience 3-5 years relevant healthcare work experience in a physician practice setting. Required
