Custodial Worker

PeopleReady of Sioux Falls SD is now hiring Custodial Workers! As a Custodial Worker, you will perform basic cleaning, sanitation, and minor maintenance of an assigned building and grounds.

Pay Rate:

The pay rate for this job is $17.00 - $17.50 / hour

What you'll be doing as a Custodial Worker:

• Maintaining lobbies, lunch/break areas, and any additional rooms/spaces assigned by your manager

• Ensuring all restrooms are properly cleaned, detailed, and maintained

• Maintaining warehouse floors by sweeping and mopping aisles and walkways, detailing railings or bumpers, dusting, throwing out trash from bins, and more.

• Performing general labor cleaning such as sorting through and stacking pallets, maneuvering pallet jacks, emptying out the gaylords when they are full of trash or cardboard, or operating warehouse machinery if trained and specified. 

• Walk and stand for the entirety of an 8 - 10 hr. shift (As much as 8 miles in a single shift) 

• Walk up and down multiple flights of stairs 

• Clean restrooms 

Available shifts:

Shift timings - 1st Shift (Day) , 3rd Shift (Night) & Weekends

Job requirements:

• Flexibility to work in an environment that changes quickly 

• Work frequently with cleaning chemicals 

• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and frequently reach, bend, carry, and balance items 

• Background check and drug screening required
