WTW Accountant - Captive Management in Singapore, Singapore

The Role

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Captive Client Account Manager to join our team at Willis Towers Watson. As a Captive Client Account Manager, you will play a pivotal role in managing relationships with our captive insurance clients, ensuring their servicing requirements are met with excellence. You will be the main contact point for a portfolio of clients whilst overseeing various financial management tasks including production of key deliverables such as management accounts, regulatory returns and audited financial statements accurately and timely. In addition, you will liaise with clients, colleagues and the captives’ service providers to ensure regulatory compliance, support corporate governance practices and enhance financial / operating efficiencies of the portfolio under your management. Responsibilities include:

  • Manage the relationship for your portfolio of captive insurance clients and assume responsibility for client service delivery and excellence.

  • Interprets MAS/ACRA Regulations including guidelines and circulars, keep clients up to date and ensure all relevant prescribed standards are met at all times.

  • Ensure compliance with corporate governance standards.

  • Peer review of functions within the team.

  • Assist the Managing Director on projects implementation to support the business.

  • Manage treasury/investment functions for captive insurance clients and perform reconciliation where required.

  • Handle insurance and claims accounting processes on behalf of captive insurance clients.

  • Preparation and annual review of budgets, policies and protocols in collaboration with clients and management.

  • Liaise with internal/external stakeholders, brokers, regulators, actuaries, auditors, tax agents, company secretary etc.

  • Management/Financial reporting to clients and Statutory reporting to regulatory bodies in accordance with the Financial Reporting Standards.

  • Facilitate client board meetings and assist in the production of board materials.

  • Minutes taking if required and ensure proper documentation of decisions.

  • And any other additional duties that may be assigned to you by the Company from time to time.

The Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accountancy, finance, or related field

  • Professional certification (e.g., CA, ACCA) preferred.

  • Proven experience in client account management or financial accounting roles in the captive insurance

  • Strong understanding of insurance accounting principles and regulations

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; Proficiency in Microsoft office

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong client relationships.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

  • Attentive to details and ability to meet deadlines consistently.
