Position Purpose

The Education Excellence Manager is primarily responsible to execute CME Grant and Sponsorship for AO regional and key-markets education events across the APAC region. Activities included:

  • Overseeing local HCC approval and obtain regional HCC approval

  • Overseeing education sustainability efforts

  • Contracting, payment

  • Finance tracking, reporting, and audit

This role will be leading the relationship and communications between AO Foundation and DePuy Synthes DRI & HCC in key-markets across the APAC region. This role will support markets DRI to execute compliant and sustainable AO education by driving high quality, standardized, and timely actions guided by the AO-DPS Education Standard Operating Procedure. This position will be the DePuy Synthes regional operations liaison with the AO regional office (AO regional manager and finance), handling market escalation and overseeing Concerto operations tasks for all AO educational events in the APAC region.

The Education Excellence Manager is the Regional DRI for AO Regional Flagship education event . This role will be working closely with AO event owner, faculties, and broader DPS stakeholders to align on the event planning including practical exercises. Drive education sustainability, provide fair market value, and align on CME grant amount. Coordinating regional & market sponsorship. Lead internal communication (update and recap).

This position will drive AO & DePuy Synthes innovative digital education initiative (explore, pilot, and evaluate); re-imagine hands-on customer experience with next generation simulation models and telementoring technologies.

This role will work in collaboration internally with the regional and local EdTech, Marketing, Compliance, Finance, and Legal Team on precise and timely grant and sponsorship payments; and externally with AO Foundation faculties and staff and digital technology education partners.

Key Responsibility Areas

Execute AO CME Grant and Sponsorship for Regional Events, Davos, China, Japan, South Korea, India, and Taiwan in close collaboration with AO event owner and Local DRI. Regional and Local HCC approval. Work with Legal on template and contracting. Payment schedule according to the AO SOP and Compliance. Ensure appropriate & complete documentation for Finance Tracking, Reporting, & Audit readiness; record keeping in SharePoint. Lead regular conversations between AO event owner and local DRI on education sustainability. Maintain the highest standards of quality, compliance and personal accountability.

Outcome:

  • Consistent adherence to AO & DPS SOP for all CME Grant & Sponsorship payments

  • Identify ways to improve the SOP and share feedback with the process owners

  • CME Grant and Sponsorship executed on target

  • Accurate reporting of CME Grant & Sponsorship

Lead the relationship and communications between AO Foundation and DePuy Synthes DRI & HCC in key-markets, activities include:

  • AO education event operational project management, leading educational sustainability conversations

  • Concerto checkpoints: approve / decline Material and Compliance within agreed timeline (Concerto is the AO education web-based planning and review tool)

Outcome:

  • Identify ways to improve the SOP and share feedback with the process owners

  • Ontime Concerto check-ins according to AO-DPS SOP

  • New DRI onboarding

DRI for AO Regional Flagship education event , activities include:

  • Aligning event planning including practical exercises between event owner, faculty, and broader DePuy Synthes Regional Marketing & Education

  • Provide benchmark for fair market value, drive education sustainability, and aligning with event owner on CME grant amount

  • Technical Support staff coordination in collaboration with Regional Marketing Team

  • Overseeing workshop material coordination, in collaboration with APAC Regional Marketing, EdTech Manager, and EdTech Logistics Team

  • Lead internal communication

Outcome:

  • Successful alignment on event planning with adherence to AO-DPS education SOP

  • Successful alignment & execution of CME grant & sponsorship

  • Successful coordination of workshop material, technical support staff

  • Educational event communication

Drive AO & DePuy Synthes innovative digital education initiative (explore, pilot, and evaluate); re-imagine hands-on customer experience with next generation simulation models and telementoring technologies. Working in close collaboration with MedTech Digital EdTech Lead.

Outcome:

  • Identified educational event & relevant market for next-gen simulation model and telementoring exploration, pilot, and evaluation

Audit assistance for AO CME Grant and Sponsorship required including but not limited to HCC monitoring, JJMT internal audits and FCPA Audit.

Outcome:

SharePoint as centralized resource for all audit data in partnership with local DRI, AO event owner, and HCC

Qualifications

Skills, Knowledge and Experience

Required qualifications:

  • Preferred minimum education: A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree is required

  • Progressive experience in Healthcare Education roles with history of success

  • Medical device training experience

  • Experience bringing new technology solutions to market

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Digital/MS Office proficiency

  • Ability to travel internationally up to 5-10%, including some weekend travels for key events

Preferred related industry experience: Professional Education, Professional Relations, R&D, HCC, Medical Operations, Sales Training, Sales, Customer Quality, Sales Management and/or Marketing with a history of success is preferred

Knowledge and Experience: Knowledge of Healthcare Compliance principles highly regarded
