Description:

General Summary:

Works with the Director of Medical Staff Services and the Manager of Medical Staff Services and Medical Education to identify projects the would enhance the functions of Medical Staff and Medical Education departments. Works with Trinity Health on conversion of Medical staff credentialing software to core system wide credentialing software, including determination of timelines for conversion and implementation of new software. Assures that Physician Data Masterfile is updated and maintained.

Maintains the Continuing Medical Education Program of Holy Cross Health and maintains the institutional CME accreditation as required by Trinity Health. Oversees the on-going operations of the Medical Library

Supports the Mission of Trinity Health and Holy Cross Hospital.

Minimum Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Required:

  • BS degree in a health science field s is required. A graduate degree is preferred.

  • 3‑5 years’ experience working in health a sciences setting is required. A comprehensive and progressive continuing medical education experience in a health care setting is strongly preferred.

  • Training and experience in advanced computer database searching is required.

  • Ability to work with computer programs and systems; familiar with standard WINDOWS packages, including PowerPoint, Word and Excel.

  • Must be well‑organized and capable of prioritizing responsibilities and working independently.

  • Ability to interact effectively with all levels of the Medical Staff, the hospital staff and personnel from other organizations, exercise good judgment, and ability to adapt to changing priorities .

  • Serves as a Resource for continuing medical education as well as program development of continuing medical education content and programs.

  • Knowledge of copyright and licensing issues.

  • Knowledge of credentialing software applications, especially MIDAS and the Verity MSOW systems.
