Position Summary

Reporting to the shop foreperson, the material handler is essential to the daily operation of our fabrication facility. Material handlers are responsible for the safe and timely delivery of materials to our production areas as well as picking & packaging orders.

Main duties

  • Safely operate various machinery including cranes and forklifts to handle materials and inventory.

  • Ensure all incoming delivery matches the company purchase order.

  • Load and unload pallets and individual cases to and from trucks, as well as collecting empty pallet boards and carrying them to storage

  • Pick appropriate goods according to order

  • Packaging goods for shipping

  • Assist in monthly product inventory

  • Perform general housekeeping and sanitation tasks

  • Ensuring production areas are stocked required parts

Employment Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Good communication skills.

  • Excellent physical fitness with the ability to lift up to a maximum of 100 pounds.

  • Outstanding organizational and communication skills.

  • A minimum of 1-2 years' experience in a similar role.

  • Valid driver's license.

  • Valid forklift operator's certification is preferred.
