Eaton Corporation Site Lean Six Sigma Expert in Santa Rosa Jauregui, Mexico

Eaton’s ES AMER ESS division is currently seeking a Site Lean Six Sigma Expert.

What you’ll do:

Job summary

The primary function of this position is to define and implement a Lean Six Sigma strategy, which organizes plans and directs an efficient Lean Six-Sigma program, and a robust continuous improvement process. Focus must be on achieving cost out goals set by the plant, through the proper selection and completion of Lean or Six Sigma projects, along with the selection and recommendation of candidates for Lean or Sigma certifications, with continuous coaching through the different stages. Since quality is everyone’s responsibility and a component of the operational excellence role, he mentors other managers and supervisors on the tools and techniques of quality improvement. These will include problem solving techniques, Six Sigma and process improvement techniques like Kaizen principles and Lean tools."

Job responsibilities

A. Execute initiates in all functional areas to achieve Cost Out Savings for site and Corporate, aligned with company strategy

B. Mentor, Coach and assist all plant Yellow Belt Green Belt and Black Belt in achieving success in projects throughout the year

C. Complete Lean or Sigma projects as identified

D. Execute initiatives in the organization to improve the Eaton Lean Six Sigma culture impacting in High five Main operation metrics

E. Stablish Lean and six sigma strategies to develop functional people in the deployment of Continuous improvement systems and supporting business capability

F. Support project management in site to ensure key challenges area achieving trough methodologies that improve performance in site

G. Develop advance analysis to ensure the right focalization are known based on key metrics

H. Lead and support key problems solving to ensure customer expectations area meet and achieve high five metrics

I. Plans and deploy training people in core Tools application to achieve performance metrics

J. Trains Kaizen team leaders to facilitate events. Coordinates and drives a structured closure process on follow-up activities.

K. Supports sharing of best practices as result of internal and external benchmarking activities.

L. Participates as a member of Eaton Continuous Improvement Council.

M. Implements, promotes and maintains a safe work environment by implementing a culture of accidents prevention, investigation, equipment maintenance and application of rules. Identify, control and administer risk and danger in own area.

N. Motivate and coach employees to maintain high levels of satisfaction, productivity, and quality through effectively utilizing available rewards and recognition channels to encourage and promote desired behaviors and results.

O. Promotes the company’s mission by actively supporting Eaton’s ethics and values as well as quality policies.

Qualifications:

Education level required

  • Industrial Engineering degree or related fields required. (Quality, Statistics, preferred)

Years and area of experience required

  • 5 years’ experience in Lean Six Sigma and Financial knowledge

Technical knowledge

  • Six Sigma Black belt is required, Extensive Lean Manufacturing knowledge.

  • Requires strong manufacturing process understanding, organizational, planning and communication skills.

  • Strong understanding and applications of DMAIC cycle (R&R, Types of Variables, MSA, DOE, CPk) and SPC tools.

  • Financial analysis expertise for savings calculation related to DMAIC projects (cost baseline for annual and individual project savings)

  • Strong leadership skills, must be capable of leading different teams on a continuous journey of sustained improvement."
