Legal Secretary - State Agency Counsel

The State Agency Counsel Division of the Utah Attorney General's Office has an immediate opening for a Legal Secretary. The position is located in Salt Lake City,Utah. The position requires the successful applicant to have a minimum of five years experience working as a legal secretary. The responsibilities include: using Microsoft Office; e-filing in State and Federal Court; organizing,inputting and maintaining files; following written and oral instructions; transcribing hearings and dictation; managing calendars; and performing administrative functions for several attorneys. The successful applicant will also be required to understand legal terminology and communicate with other attorneys and members of the public in a professional and tactful manner. Additionally,the successful applicant will have experience meeting deadlines and will be able to always timely file documents and meet other scheduling expectations. Experience with a case management system and timekeeping software is preferred.  This position may be underfilled as a Legal Secretary Trainee.
