LifeSouth Community Blood Centers is looking for an individual to join our team as aPhlebotomist Team LeaderinSt. Augustine, FL.This position is responsible for ensuring the donor center and/or bloodmobile operates safely, efficiently, and effectively. The selected candidate will also directly supervise one to six Donor Technicians.

Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to)

• Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws

• Oversee donor collection functions

• Ensure all collections operations comply with LifeSouth Standard Operating Procedure (SOP)

• Oversee, direct and monitor all activities of staff

• Properly complete and account for all paperwork, test tubes and blood associated with Donor Collections

• Ensure quality control on all blood collection equipment is performed and records are maintained appropriately

• Maintain stock supply in donor room

• Customer service skills to both internal and external customers

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED

• CPR Certification

• Valid driver's license. Must also meet and maintain LifeSouth driver's eligibility requirements

• Ability to multitask and prioritize

• Interpersonal and team building skills

• Ability to communicate both orally and in writing

• Knowledgeable in a variety of computer software applications

• Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, and volume and apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry

The Ideal Candidate Will Possess

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree

• One year of donor collections experience

• Supervisory experience

• Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
