RedViking Human Resources Generalist in Plymouth, Michigan

We are looking for a results-driven Human Resources Generalist to oversee critical HR functions.  In this role, you will be the first point of contact for employee inquiries.  You will collaborate with all levels of our organization with a focus on employee well-being, ensuring compliance with policies, and fostering growth and development while ensuring a positive work environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee day-to-day HR functions, fostering a positive work environment.
  • Oversee recruitment and onboarding process
  • Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with engineering-focused goals
  • Oversee performance management to drive high performance and growth. Address issues, ensuring compliance with labor laws and company policy
  • Identify training needs and professional development opportunities, and implement training programs to enhance employee skills
  • Assist with employee compensation/benefits to ensure alignment with industry standards
  • Monitor and enforce HR policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations, and fostering a fair and consistent workplace
  • Stay updated on employment laws and regulations
  • Report HR data to management, providing decision support through HR metrics

Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Business Management, or related field
  • 3+ years of progressive HR experience, with managerial or leadership preferred
  • In-depth knowledge of labor law and HR best practices
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing HR strategies
  • Strong leadership skills to guide HR initiatives
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
  • High ethical standards, discretion in handling confidential information
  • Adaptability to changing business needs and evolving HR trends
  • Familiarity with HRIS systems and other HR-related software, SuccessFactors a plus
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office or equivalent
  • Willingness to go above and beyond to meet company goals, including travel as required
  • Due to ITAR requirements and the nature of work performed within our facilities, sponsorship is not available
