ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Mechanical Design Engineer II, you will be responsible for designing and developing mechanical components and systems for our products. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to understand customer requirements, create innovative designs, and ensure the successful implementation of mechanical solutions. Your expertise in mechanical design and problem-solving will be crucial in delivering high-quality products that meet customer needs and drive business growth.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborate with customers and internal stakeholders to define design requirements and specifications

  • Create detailed mechanical designs using CAD software and other engineering tools

  • Conduct analysis and simulations to validate design performance and reliability

  • Participate in design reviews and provide technical support during the manufacturing and testing phases

  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations

  • Travel: up to 5%

  • Hybrid Work Schedule

  • Reports to: Sr Engineering Manager

    U.S. PERSON REQUIREMENTS

Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status or have the ability to obtain an export authorization

MUST HAVE

  • 2+ years of experience in mechanical design or a related field

  • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., CREO/ProEngineer AutoCAD) and other engineering tools

  • Strong knowledge of mechanical design principles and methodologies

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics

WE VALUE

  • Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field

  • Experience with electronics packaging/avionics

  • Experience with GD&T

  • Experience in the aerospace, automotive, or manufacturing industry

  • Familiarity with industry standards and regulations

  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills

  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities
