Robert Half Financial Planning and Analysis Analyst in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

Description

Robert Half is seeking an ambitious, experienced Financial Planning and Analysis Analyst for an immediate opening at a dynamic, progressive company. In this FP& A Analyst position, you will be responsible for gathering and interpreting critical financial and operational data to develop analytical reports to communicate results to management on a monthly basis. This FP& A Analyst role is based in the Philadelphia area and is a permanent employment opportunity that is not to be missed!

Responsibilities include:

  • Collect and analyze essential financial and operational data to create analytical reports that convey findings to management monthly.

  • Spot trends, discrepancies, and inefficiencies by comparing and analyzing actual results against budgets and forecasts.

  • Collaborate closely with various departments, including management, accounting, and operations, to enhance internal reporting processes and deadlines.

  • Generate monthly profitability analysis reports for all projects.

  • Help in updating the firm's revenue projection sheets and monitoring the portfolio for all contingency-based projects.

  • Employ data from the company's time and expense system to compile and assess staff utilization rates and predict the resources required for effective project staffing.

  • Undertake additional duties or ad hoc projects and reporting as necessary, pertaining to the firm's financial and operational reporting.

    Requirements

The ideal FP& A candidate should have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education.

Other requirements for the FP& A position include and are not limited to:

  • 2+ years of relevant experience in finance and/or data reporting, or Financial Analyst role.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially in Excel.

  • Demonstrated experience working with an ERP / CRM systems and reporting & analysis tools

  • Knowledge of NetSuite preferred.

  • SQL experience preferred.

  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills with an emphasis on teamwork, initiative, and integrity.

  • Ability to identify and take on critical projects, as well as manage multiple projects simultaneously in a dynamic/challenging environment.
