ASM Global Usher Supervisor in Pensacola, Florida

POSITION: Usher Supervisor

LOCATION: Saenger Theatre, Pensacola, FL

REPORTS TO: Front of House Manager

FLSA STATUS: Hourly, part-time, non-exempt

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Include the following. Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned.

  • Maintain sufficient supervision over volunteer ushers performing their assigned responsibilities

  • Oversee and coordinate program disbursement

  • Ensure the safety of patrons and staff through the proper implementation an enforcement of emergency procedures

  • Patrol the facility to report and respond to customer service and operations situations that require attention

  • Assist staff with resolving customer service situations

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills

  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to adapt to changes in the work environment, managing competing demands, frequent changes, delays or unexpected events

  • Must have good organizational skills

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

  • High School Diploma or GED required

  • Two years prior experience in a customer service position preferred

  • Previous front-of-house experience in performing arts/theater setting preferred

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs.

  • Ability to walk, stand for long periods of time, climb stairs, stoop, bend, and maneuver under low lighting.

  • Ability to move quickly from one area to another in a safe manner.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT

Position is not substantially exposed to adverse conditions.

HOURS OF WORK AND TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

Must be able to work extended and/or irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
