Your Opportunity as the Architect, Sales Capability, Operations & Information Services Recommends technology solutions by evaluating business needs, efficiency and effectiveness of current tech stacks, and industry trends. Solves unique and complex problems impacting a domain, with a keen understanding of touchpoints with adjacent areas and relationships to business process. Will work with other Architects to build and maintain long-term application and technology roadmaps for business customer's domain of Trade Promotion Management and Analytics. Applies Smucker Architecture methodologies to address current business needs and objectives. Location: Orrville, OH (Close proximity to Cleveland/Akron) Work Arrangements: Hybrid 30% in office presence In this role you will: Evaluate, internalize, and implement architectures in accordance with Smucker Architectural best practices and standards. Ensure alignment of solution delivery with domain and enterprise strategy. Socialize key concepts with project and product teams. Works with team members to internalize and apply learnings to solution delivery. Guide the team on knowing when to invest in tech or focus on delivery (appropriate ROI over strategic horizons). Be involved with introducing/operationalizing new cloud tools, data engineering, integrations, and application technologies. Review existing and upcoming data pipelines or application architectures to ensure automation is utilized where possible. Advance the technical discipline through advising other leaders' fundamental application of DevOps, DataOps or MLOps process improvements. Drive strategy for the team by Investigating technology trends adoption in other companies and within industry. Proactively utilize research firms to determine enterprise level cloud/modern applications. Participate in vendor provided offerings (courses, labs, certified architect training or product trainings, especially with existing or industry leading cloud or progressive vendors). Gain input from other architects on how cloud implementations in their teams impact the current architecture and requires evolution. Own creation and maintenance of necessary learning paths for tool adoption/proper usage. Mentor others in the architecture domain. Solution Delivery (90%) Develop architectural designs that support project and enhancement efforts within their domain with a focus onstability, feasibility, functionality, security,governance, auditing, and scalability. Draft and present High Level Solution Designs to Architecture Review Boards honoring stage gates - facilitating buy-in pre-meeting from Enterprise Architecture and affected architects. Ensure proper adoption of selected solutions. Apply a holistic view of platform integration and understands interrelationships with adjacent disciplines/functions. Applies advanced techniques and modern IT concepts to solve complex development problems. Provide high level estimates and staffing requirements for projects in the initiate phase. Support key business strategy, application, and technology discussions. Facilitates adoption, rationalization, and influences future state investments. Ensure timely disposition of applications and technologies. Regularly validates supportability and timelines of key technology platforms within their domain. Lead efforts to evaluate new service offerings via RFP's and RFQ's. Influences direction on solution selection. Create and update architectural models and artifacts for domains. Influences overall team documentation depth & breath. Coach other team members, estimating effort and articulating needs, and executing against solution architecture decisions.
