Description

Orlando company is looking for a Director of Accounting. The company is looking for a minimum of 7+ years of experience. Responsibilities of the Director of Accounting will include, but not limited to the following.

-- Lead and manage a cross functional accounting team, including hiring, training, and performance management.

-- Oversee and review day-to-day accounting transactional operations, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, fixed asset accounting, financial reporting and treasury/cash management functions.

-- Develop, implement and/or update financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure accuracy and compliance with U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (“US GAAP”) as well as relevant federal and state regulations as appropriate.

-- Direct and lead the accounting close process and coordinate the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for senior management and stakeholders.

-- Collaborate with other departments to support cross-functional initiatives and projects.

-- Participate in strategic planning sessions and contribute to the overall growth strategy of the company.

-- Manage tax compliance and tax planning throughout the fiscal year.

-- Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory authorities as necessary.

-- Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

• 7+ years of experience.

• Analytical problem solving skills.

• Collaboration/Teamwork – build relationships across departments
