Summary:

The International Equity Group creates quality-focused, risk managed long-only equity portfolios, mostly for institutional clients. The team is seeking an Equity Analyst to join its International Equity platform. We focus on high-quality, non-US companies across the market-capitalization spectrum. The team takes a long-term approach to investing and considers companies that generate attractive financial returns, sustainable growth, and trade at valuations that offer attractive risk-adjusted upside. The Equity Analyst will work closely with a team of analysts and portfolio managers, have a clear coverage focus, and a direct impact on the portfolio.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain coverage of a specific segment of the portfolio – follow company activities, results, and valuations to make trading recommendations around current positions.

  • Generate new investment ideas to add performance and/or control risk.

  • Conduct primary analysis, maintain dialogue with company management teams, industry sources, and sell-side analysts.

  • Build and maintain in-depth fundamental models for each company; integrate those models into the team’s valuation framework and research management system.

  • Support the team in marketing efforts internally and with clients/gatekeepers.

  • Travel as needed for site visits, competitor analysis, and investment conferences.

Qualifications:

  • 3-8 years of experience in financial analysis required.

  • In-depth knowledge of one or two sectors/industries (the exact ones are of less importance) and exposure to International equity markets.

  • Foreign language or foreign work experience a plus.

  • Ability to articulate (verbally and in writing) a clear and concise investment recommendation.

  • Openness to debate major issues is critical to success in this highly collaborative environment. Equally critical is the ability to move on after if/ when the team has a different point of view.

  • Advanced degree and/or CFA designation preferred.

  • Must obtain Series 7 & 66 licenses within 6 months of employment.

Compensation Details

The salary range for this role is $125,000-$175,000. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. This range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in New York City. An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs. This job is also eligible for a discretionary bonus. We offer a comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, 401(k), life insurance and other benefits to eligible employees.
