Title and Summary

Senior Specialist, Product Management - Data Access

OVERVIEW

The Mastercard FI Direct Integrations (FIDI) team within Data Access is responsible for building, maintaining, and helping to operate the API connections which supply data to power customer permissioned use cases across a suite of open banking products. The senior product specialist will have a primary responsibility for execution, planning, and delivery of these connections.

ROLE

Act as product lead for story creation, sizing/grooming, participate in daily scrum meetings. Determine and solve for blockers, dependencies, and clarifications between the development team and the product team. Critical liaison between product management and remote development team.

· Maintain record of open issues in need of resolution to support development initiatives

· Facilitate and expedite the resolution and tracking of support issues and follow-on corrective action.

· Coordinate cross-functional activities to support data access integration: testing, migration, app registration

· Develop understanding of end-to-end product lifecycle, actively works to improve experience and skills

· Drive product development focusing on customer journey and experience

· Identify opportunities to improve an overall product lifecycle processes

· Make a point to listen, observe and understand senior management and cross-functional team perspectives and/or preferences; ask effective questions to clarify understanding

· Display judgment to know when to escalate issues and liaise with cross-functional teams for resolution

· Support and participate in post-launch reviews and ensures feedback is reincorporated into enhancements

· Own and manage product documentation ensuring it is clear and easily consumable by product, cross-functional and engineering teams

· Report status and manage risks within their primary product team

· Take initiative and actively seek and participate in activities which stretches ones existing skill set

· Participate in team prioritization discussions with Product/Business management

· Mentor and guide new and less-experienced team members

· Share and seek knowledge within the Guild/Product to drive reuse of best practices and enhance productivity

· Understands customer journeys and ensures a Mastercard good experience by continuously reducing Mean time to mitigate (MTTM) for incidents and ensuring high availability
