Join the Medtronic Engineering and Innovation Center (MEIC) in Hyderabad and contribute your

expertise to the growth, development, and sustainability of medical device products. As a part of this

team, you will support the Systems Team in managing intricate medical device systems for treating

conditions related to the nervous system. These systems involve complex electronic circuits, wireless

communication, batteries, and a fusion of consumer and medical technologies, all designed with user centric innovation in mind. The Engineering R&D function at MEIC, Hyderabad is responsible for

Sustaining phases of the product development cycle for our Global Business Units (GBUs).

As a Senior Systems Engineer for Standards, RPE, and MDM (Mobile Device Management), your role is

dynamic and multifaceted, involving strategic planning, implementation, and ongoing management of

critical systems infrastructure. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the

smooth operation and optimization of standards, RPE processes, and mobile device management

solutions. Your responsibilities include:

  • Overseeing the configuration and maintenance of mobile device management systems to ensure security, compliance, and efficient device management.

  • Participating in planning, designing, and deploying systems to support RPE (Requirements, Planning, and Execution) processes.

  • Developing and implementing standards and best practices for systems architecture and infrastructure.

  • Collaborating with stakeholders to gather requirements, define system specifications, and recommend solutions to meet business objectives.

  • Providing technical leadership and guidance to junior engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.

  • Monitoring system performance, identifying areas for optimization, and implementing corrective actions as necessary.

  • Conducting regular assessments of system security and implementing measures to mitigate risks and vulnerabilities.

  • Staying abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation and maintain competitiveness.

Must Have: Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering, System Engineering, Electrical and Electronics, Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.

  • Proven experience in systems engineering, with a focus on standards development, RPE processes, and mobile device management.

  • Knowledge of systems architecture, infrastructure design, and implementation best practices.

  • Proficiency in configuring and managing mobile device management solutions such as Microsoft Intune, VMware Workspace ONE, or similar platforms.

  • Strong understanding of RPE methodologies and tools, with experience in integrating systems to support agile development practices.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex systems issues in a timely manner.

  • Effective communication skills with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

  • Experience working in cross-functional teams and collaborating with diverse groups to achieve common goals.

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Commitment to staying updated with industry trends and emerging technologies.

  • Knowledge of System Regulation requirements.

  • Strong verbal/written communication and influence management skills.

  • Proven ability to accomplish critical project-level objectives in a team environment.

  • Proven ability to translate user needs into formal requirements.

  • Experience in System Engineering discipline or use of system engineering methodologies.

Nice to Have

  • Relevant certifications such as Certified Systems Engineer (CSE).

  • Experience with automation tools and scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, or Bash.

  • Knowledge of Medical regulatory requirements.

  • Experience in System Engineering discipline or use of system engineering methodologies.

Years of Experience

  • 10+ years of experience in the industry with a Bachelor’s degree.

  • 8+ years of experience in the industry with a Master’s degree.
