The Director, Business Development - Enterprise 5G Products & Services will lead the rapid growth strategies and go-to-market execution for NTT’s Private 5G (P5G) offerings for the EU region. A successful candidate thrives in a fast and collaborative environment. Through a consultative selling approach, the role will lead sales discussions and proposal development with key decision-makers at current and prospective clients.

This role will serve as a champion for NTT’s Private 5G product offering in the EU region, working with all NTT organizations in a “sales evangelist” type of role to promote NTT’s P5G offering and educate both NTT sales teams and their clients on the benefits of P5G use cases.

Working directly with NTT sales teams and partners, the role will be primarily tasked with evaluating strategic business opportunities, creating customer proposals, creating a clear understanding of aspects such as the addressable market, necessary business plan components and joint partner solution plays.

Working at NTT

  • Articulate NTT’s private 5G offerings to enable customer use cases and business outcomes that meet specific customers’ requirements across various industry verticals.

  • Articulate the advantages and disadvantages of private 5G offerings compared to competitive P5G offerings and alternative technologies.

  • Display excellent knowledge of the 5G industry, its products, services, and technologies as it applies to enterprise private wireless networks.

  • Present complex solutions and approaches to senior-level executive staff clearly and compellingly in a manner that is appropriate to the audience.

  • Lead responses to customer RFI/RFPs and other requests through cross-functional collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, including sales/account teams, product management, marketing, engineering, etc.

  • Provide management insight and understanding on customer implementations and best practice deployment architectures to help identify the ideal target segments.

Education/Experience/Qualifications Required

  • Minimum of 4-year undergraduate business degree (MBA preferred but not required)

  • Minimum of fifteen years of experience selling technology and/or communications-based solutions or services to large enterprise clients.

  • Ability to provide management insight and understanding on customer implementations and best practice deployment architectures to help identify the ideal target segments.

  • Ability to develop and present high-quality recommendations and deliverables for executive-level consumption and contribute to associated strategy and execution discussions.

  • Ability to leverage personal industry knowledge to contribute to content creation, including design, narrative, and data analysis, for critical internal & external communications.Understanding key repeatable industry use cases enable enterprise business outcomes and related solutions.

  • Ability to develop trusted advisor relationships with customers, partners, product teams, and sales organizations.

  • Proven track record of collaborating cross-functionally with internal domain experts, customers, and partners to create industry-specific solution architectures.Ability to work in a fast-paced, “unstructured,” rapidly changing environment with a hands-on mentality toward assigned tasks and responsibilities.

  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills; must be comfortable interacting and influencing extensively across different areas of the organization, including executive leadership.

  • Prior experience in a professional services organization enabling and selling offerings to enterprises using a consultative sales approach.

Skills & Core Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of the 5G landscape, including 4G/5G network architectures, MEC, back-end IT, telecom platforms, and related technologies in implementing private wireless networks.

  • Solid understanding of -aaS, annuitized service models and underlying commercial terms.
