Roush Yates Engines Commercial Contract Specialist in Mooresville, North Carolina

Purpose of Job

The Commercial Contract Specialist is responsible for the management, preparation, submission of customer quotes, purchase order contract review and sales acknowledgement to the customer. In addition, the CCS is responsible for initial sales order entry, assisting with work order creation, and monitoring sales/work order status. This position is very interactive with our customer base and other RYMS departments and divisions.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Review and log all customer contacts, opportunities and requests for quotes in Salesforce.
  • Scheduling and lead needed review meetings at various stages of the quote process.
  • Prepare a list of customer requirements from RFQ to review with RYMS staff.
  • Complete the Contract Review Process identifying all customer requirements.
  • With the assistance of engineering, purchasing and quality prepare list of process steps, raw material requirements and outsource steps for costing.
  • Use all pricing information to prepare the quote for submission to customer using quoting spreadsheet.
  • If issues or questions arise, contact buyer for information needed.
  • Upon approval of each affected department, submit the quote to the customer or transmit to Business Development Manager for presentation.
  • Follow up with customer to identify quote outcome and reasons that we won or lost quote.
  • Maintain quote documents and forms in hard copy and digital format.
  • Maintenance of Salesforce software.
  • Maintenance of the RYMS quoting spreadsheet.
  • Entry of quotes into ERP system.
  • Assist VP of Business Development and external sales representatives with the development of new business.
  • Upon receipt of purchase orders, review purchase order requirements per the quote and confirm accuracy and ability to complete using the contract review process.
  • Confirm purchase orders to customer with sale order acknowledgement.
  • Enter orders from external and internal customers in ERP System and assist/coordinate with Production Planning to create needed work orders.
  • Act as a primary initial contact point with external and internal customers with regards to order concerns and issues, involving additional internal resources as needed.
  • Monitor work order and sales status and present that information during weekly sales meetings.
  • Participate in daily meetings with production, production planning, engineering and quality to represent the voice of the customer.
  • Other duties as required.

Job Qualifications

  • Associates Degree or better in computer science and/or manufacturing process, preferred.
  • 3 + years manufacturing experience in purchasing, machining or quoting. Aerospace experience preferred.
  • Strong computer skills and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Excellent organizational and mathematical skills.
  • Must have excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Works well under stress and shifting priorities.
  • Able to work in and maintain a clean work environment.
  • Must perform all duties in conjunction with quality system requirements.
  • Strong communication skills.
