Information Architect

Location: This position will work a hybrid model (remote and office). The Ideal candidate will live within 50 miles of our Elevance Health PulsePoint location in Louisville, KY .

Preferred locations include: Louisville, KY; Atlanta, GA; Indianapolis, IN; Chicago, IL; Cincinnati, OH; Mendota Heights, MN; Richmond, VA; Grand Prairie, TX; and St Louis, MO.

The Information Architect develops and maintains information reference architecture articulating the future state for achieving optimal sourcing, grouping, transformation and sharing of enterprise data.

How you will make an impact:

  • Work closely with stakeholders from various departments, including IT, legal, compliance, and business units. Together, you’ll establish data governance policies and procedures.

  • Define data standards and policies, ensuring the quality, security, and privacy of data.

  • Creating data models is part of your job. These models help structure and organize data effectively.

  • May be involved in selecting appropriate database management systems and data warehousing solutions.

  • As a Data Governance Information Architect, you play a critical role in maintaining data integrity and ensuring compliance with regulations and best practices.

  • Contributes to information management systems architecture vision and ensures specific components are appropriately designed and leveraged.

  • Takes responsibility for defining information management architectural components.

  • Defines information architecture standards and assists in creation of reference architecture.

  • Analyzes architecture efficiency data and makes recommendations for improvements and develops linkage from conceptual architecture to logical architecture.

  • Identifies technical and architectural areas of opportunity for improvement; to improve enterprise architectures and supporting technologies.

  • Analyzes architecture efficiency data and makes recommendations for improvements.

  • Validates the detailed information architecture requirements for an application/ technology.

  • Develops linkage from conceptual architecture to logical architecture.

  • Leads the evolution of transitioning to a new information architecture.

  • Creates improvements to data acquisition and access through analysis and design.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Requires an BA/BS degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field of study and a minimum of 3 years architecture/design in relevant technology disciplines; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

Preferred Skills, Capabilities, and Experiences:

  • Experience with ETL and BI tools, integration standards and protocols (e.g., SOAP, UDDI), and XML schema strongly preferred.

  • Experience in health care industry strongly preferred.
