Parsons Corporation Manager - Risk Management in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia

Job Description:

Parsons is seeking a highly skilled Manager – Risk management to join our team to support our client on the construction of a state-of-the-art Oceanarium. The Manager – Risk Management will be responsible for identifying potential risks, developing strategies to minimize their impact, and ensuring that risk management processes are implemented effectively throughout the project lifecycle. The expertise of the Risk Manager will be instrumental in safeguarding the project's timeline, budget, and quality standards while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and client expectations.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Lead the identification of potential risks associated with the project, including but not limited to financial, technical, environmental, regulatory, and operational risks.

  • Conduct comprehensive risk assessments, workshops to evaluate the likelihood and potential impact of identified risks on project objectives, timelines, and budgets.

  • Develop risk mitigation plans and strategies to minimize the impact of identified risks on the project; Collaborate with project teams to implement risk mitigation measures effectively.

  • Establish robust processes for monitoring and tracking identified risks throughout the project lifecycle; Generate regular risk reports for project stakeholders, highlighting key risks, mitigation efforts, and any emerging threats.

  • Engage with project stakeholders, including clients, contractors, regulatory authorities, and other relevant parties, to communicate risk management strategies and ensure alignment with project objectives.

  • Ensure that risk management processes comply with industry standards, best practices, and regulatory requirements; Conduct periodic reviews to assess the effectiveness of risk mitigation measures and recommend adjustments as necessary.

  • Monitor the evolving risk landscape throughout the project lifecycle and adjust risk management strategies accordingly

  • Provide training and guidance to project team members on risk management principles, tools, and techniques; Foster a culture of risk awareness and accountability within the project team.

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of risk management processes; Identify lessons learned from past projects and apply them to optimize risk management strategies.

  • Maintain and update risk register to monitor all potential risks and their mitigation.

  • Properly escalates risks and issues to involve the appropriate stakeholders timely.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in project management, engineering, or related field.

  • Experience in the construction of aquatic facilities or similar projects is highly desirable.

  • Minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in risk management, with a proven track record of leadership and successful project delivery on large-scale projects and a minimum of 10yrs experience on landmark and Entertainment projects, preferably in GCC (KSA experience ideally)

  • Demonstrated ability to identify, assess, and mitigate project risks effectively.

  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities, with the capacity to engage with stakeholders at all levels.

  • Proficiency in risk management software and tools.

  • Strong leadership skills with the capability to influence and motivate cross-functional teams.
