Cleveland Clinic EBI Analyst I in Independence, Ohio

This opportunity is a Remote role, with some days in the office at NE Ohio.

We are looking for an EBI Analyst to join our team of devoted caregivers. Within this role, you will function as a primary resource for department chairmen, administrators, and regional hospital administration regarding the development of business intelligence tools. Coordinates with EBI Developers to identify data sourcing and apply business rules in the deployment of dashboards and other BI tools.

The ideal future caregiver:

  • Has extensive expereince with SQL .

  • Has Bachelors Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, or Economics.

  • Has experience in Microsoft Excel; and some novice experience in Teradata, SAS, or Tableau.

  • Has strong communication skills.

  • Works well in a close-knit, teambuilding environment.

  • Comes prepared and excited to learn new tools.

Responsibilities:

  • Functions as a primary resource for department chair, administrators and regional hospital administration regarding the development of business intelligence tools.

  • Utilizes computer skills to maintain complex reporting system providing timely and accurate reporting for online dashboards.

  • Serves as a technical resource in the analysis and evaluation of clinical and hospital operations and financial functions of clinical centers as related to utilization management and operational performance through dashboards and other reporting structures.

  • Utilizing dashboard software, assists in the creation of summary and detail reports for online dashboards and other platforms for all levels of the Cleveland Clinic.

  • Maintains the quality and data integrity of the reports, making improvements and adjustments as needed.

  • Interprets and presents data analysis results including explanation of statistical and financial techniques used, assumptions made and summary of results.

  • Documents methods and interpretation of results for future reference.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field required.

  • A High School diploma/GED and four years of database development or analytical experience may substitute the education requirements.

  • An Associate's degree and two years of database development or analytical experience may substitute the education requirements.

Certifications:

  • None required.

Complexity of Work:

  • Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.

  • Must be able to work in a stressful environment.

  • Understanding of data warehousing and t-SQL programming preferred.

  • Must have strong written and verbal skills to communicate complex information to administrative leadership.

  • Ability to work independently.

  • Strong analytical skills and ability to research/trouble shoot problems.

  • Must have strong computer skills and be proficient with various applications including Access, Excel and PowerPoint.

Work Experience:

  • Offset: High School diploma/GED and four years of database development or analytical experience.

  • Offset: Associate's degree and two years of database development or analytical experience.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information.

  • Ability to perform work in a stationary position for extended periods.

  • Ability to work with physical records or operate a computer or other office equipment.

  • In some locations, ability to travel throughout the hospital system.

  • In some locations ability to move up to 25 lbs.

Personal Protective Equipment:

  • Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.

Pay Range

Minimum hourly: $22.85

Maximum hourly: $34.85
