Job Description

IFF is a global industry leader in scent and sensorial experiences. We have more than 110 manufacturing facilities, 100 R&D centers, and 33,000 customers across the world where we create scents for Fine Fragrances, Personal Wash, Fabric Care products and Home care fragrances. The global creative center for Fabric Care is based in Hilversum, the Netherlands. In this creative center we help to provide the scent and scent technology to make our customers create market-leading products for laundry products.

IFF is a Consumer Centric organization, so the Sensory & Consumer Insights team plays a key role in product development processes. Conducting and analyzing consumer research to understand how to fulfill consumer needs and expectations and to support the Creative department and Marketing and Sales decisions. Thanks to tools like sensory research, (online) consumer connects, preference evaluation, product positioning, home use tests, the Consumer Insights team is the voice of the consumer in IFF.

Within the innovation team in the global Fabric Care center in in Hilversum, Netherlands, we have a vacancy for aSensory and Consumer Research Associate.

As a research associate, you are a key contributor to consumer research and sensory projects:

• Project management, translating research question into a research design, questionnaire development, fieldwork coordination, sample logistics,

• Data analysis, analyze data, reporting and presenting.

• Knowledge management, Build and communicate Fabric Care knowledge and insight.

• Partnerships, work collaboratively across functions to ensure proper follow-ups and efficient global execution. Act as key contributor in final project deliverables.

Job Requirements

• Skills in CI methodologies and data analysis. You have a basic statistics knowledge and be at ease with statistical programs such as SPSS, R, JMP, Excel stat or similar software

• Excellent knowledge of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is a must

• You are very interested in and have affinities with fragrances and insights market research (through studies or work experience)

• You have very good written and oral communication competences in English, and preferably another language

• Master degree, Sensory Science, Psychology, Economics, Sociology, Design or related area,

• Learning agility and drive for results,

• Effective team player, Informative and Collaborative style

• Organized, good communication, autonomy

• Ability to evolve in complex and moving environment.

• 1-2 years of work experience in consumer insights or related fields
