Job Description:

GDIT is seeking a Director of Business Development for National Intelligence Sector, (NIS) to lead the identification, qualification and pursuit of new business opportunities within the Intelligence Community and related markets. The focus of this position will be on expanding GDIT’s penetration in targeted growth for the areas of Engineering, Cyber, Biometrics, and Identity as well as Analysis and non-IT related services. The qualified candidate will support the NIS team in the identification, qualification, and pursuit of new business opportunities within the Intelligence Community. The ideal candidate must demonstrate a deep understanding of these two agencies including organizational structure, mission priorities and procurement methodology and tendencies, and competitive landscape both from a Prime and subcontractor perspective. The successful candidate will leverage this knowledge to develop customer and partner engagement plans, and provide thought leadership in the marketplace leading to the development and execution of GDIT go-to-market account plans.

HOW A BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

  • Provide critical leadership across the new business capture lifecycle - from opportunity identification, qualification, and win strategy development through the post submission phases of the Business Capture Process.

  • Work as a member of a multi-disciplinary team, he/she formulates, communicates and implements an integrated business development and capture strategy that provides customers a clear and defensible justification for selecting GDIT for the award

  • Develop and implements campaign plans and strategies, maintains a firm comprehension of the customer's requirements, understand the strengths/weaknesses of our competitors and develops/implements winning strategies that highlight strengths and mitigate weaknesses

  • Establish value-added teaming strategies based on Gap Analysis to improve PWIN and to create a profitable return at a winning bid price enabling a reasonable EBIT.

  • Provide business development for Intelligence Community accounts.

  • Analyze markets for company products and services and recommends strategies to achieve marketing goals.

  • Perform business development services including networking and research to increase business.

  • Meet with current and potential clients to ascertain their requirements and apprise them of company capabilities.

  • Coordinate and exchange information and leads with managers and other personnel.

  • Develop proposals, solutions, plans of action, business plans, and marketing materials.

  • Support New Business Reviews and Business Area Reviews for the NIS

  • Maintain current knowledge of relevant technologies in order to successfully meet client requirements.

  • Develop and implement a market strategy for Intelligence Community Business Areas assigned

  • Provide support for all facets of business development across the new business capture lifecycle - from opportunity identification, qualification, and win strategy development through the post submission phases of the Business Capture Process.

  • Support the business development team in managing and tracking status of NDAs/TAs and subcontracts for strategic captures within the NIS Sector

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing or a technical or business related discipline.

  • 7+ years of related marketing and business development experience in the Intelligence Community space with a demonstrable track record of engagement and success.

  • Active TS/SCI Clearance required and POLY eligible

  • Successful track record advancing new business development strategies and information technology solutions for cyber security, Software Development, Cloud Migration and Integration, and Mission Support Services.

  • Proven ability to build relationships and lead through influence at all levels of the organization.

  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, (to include prior experience in briefing senior leadership)

  • Proficiency in Salesforce, Microsoft Office Suite, including SharePoint, Teams, Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Active engagement as a visible thought leader in the relevant customer eco-system(s).

  • Proven track record of identifying and closing on new business opportunities in relevant markets (non proprietary deal sheet would be wonderful)

  • Location: Must work and live in the Washington metropolitan area with flexibility for hybrid work schedule

  • Experience in selling solutions in the areas of Cyber, IT Infrastructure, Networking, Applications Development, Cloud Services, Analysis and Mission programs
