Job overview and responsibilities

Our PSS-team is responsible for developing and maintaining our Passenger Service System (PSS), which is the heart of any airline and runs mission-critical and highly complex modules such as Seats, Inventory, Reservations, and the Day-of-Departure customer processes! Our team is building new PSS system using the latest digital technologies and digital infrastructure to provide our customer the best digital experience in the industry.

We have a developer role open in our team who will plan, design, develop and launch efficient systems and solutions in support of core organizational functions. This individual will apply proven communication, analytical and problem-solving skills to help identify, communicate and resolve issues, opportunities or problems in order to maximize the benefit of IT and Business investments.

  • Design, develop and modify software applications/systems according to specifications

  • Consults with Business Analysts and business partners on potential software solutions for business specifications

  • Provides support to the software development leads (Senior Developer) during the design portion of the SDLC

  • Support and troubleshoot software systems as required, optimizing performance, resolving problems, and providing follow-up on all issues and solutions

  • Develop appropriate software documentation as outlined in development framework

  • Complete comprehensive unit testing on all developed/enhanced software

  • Works on one or more projects; may work as a project leader

This position is offered on local terms and conditions. Expatriate assignments and sponsorship for employment visas, even on a time-limited visa status, will not be awarded.

Qualifications

Required:

  • 4 or more years of experience with .NET technologies especially with .NET 6

  • 2 or more years of experience with Solace/Kafka/MQ – Event driven architecture and messaging systems

  • 2 or more years of experience with NoSQL Datastores – DynamoDB preferred

  • 2 or more years of experience with Unix/Linux experience

  • 2 or more years of experience with Oracle, MySQL, RDBMS experience

  • Good knowledge of Code Repositories such as GitHub

  • Exposure to Continuous Integration & Continuous Deployment

  • Exposure to applications performance monitoring tools such as Logic Monitor, Data Dog

Preferred:

  • Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems

  • Cloud Technologies, AWS preferred

  • Infrastructure knowledge

  • Agile Methodologies

  • Microsoft Office tools: Word, Excel, Powerpoint

  • Airline Industry knowledge, a plus
