Your accountabilities :

  • BCM Framework Implementation- To conduct Business Impact Analysis, Risk Assessment, document Business Continuity plans, develop and implement BCM recovery strategy. Help teams identify their Recovery Time objectives, Recovery Point Objective, Analysing Infrastructure requirements, Maintaining Incident management Plan, Maintaining tools for Incident management such as Call tree, crisis rooms, etc. Responsible for coordinating and collaborating with different enabling teams to run the BCP program.

  • BCM Awareness & Testing - To plan and conduct BCM Awareness Sessions in line with overall BCM Framework. Responsible for developing and conducting BCP scenario exercises in coordination with all relevant teams to ensure logistical, administrative, procedural and other operational systems of BCP. Responsible for coordinating with relevant teams to identify root cause for failed BCP tests and close loop. Report BCP test results & metrics to leadership team and work with respective business teams to plug any gaps identified and also maintain lessons learnt.

  • Incident Management and Horizon scanning - Maintain a daily watch on developing events/ incidents around the globe. Monitor potential impact and assist the TARG and IMT(Incident Management Team) to determine the scope and impact of the crisis and take strategic decisions. Coordination between various teams across the globe for information & assisting to take decisive decisions. Schedule calls with local crisis management leaders to assess the event / incident. Notification to key stakeholders till the end of incident. Regularly monitor & re-evaluate situations and brief the IMT

  • Compliance Culture (BCM)- To drive and implement programs/sessions to create awareness and provide trainings around standards, policies, and processesto develop BCM Compliance Culture across GBS.

  • Reporting - To produce business intelligence reports and dashboards to raise awareness, analyse process/systems/organisational performance metrics and report progress/status of BCM Programs at senior management level. Carry out high level and insightful analysis that will identify opportunities for Business Improvement.

  • Compliance Governance(BCM)- Ensuring that BCM Governance Calls are scheduled, take place and materials and actions are kept centrally / followed.

  • Reviews - Implementing GBS’s BCM strategy by undertaking reviews and audits, implementing actions and improvement plans and investigating suspected non-compliant behaviour.

Risk compliance and Assurance(RCA) Activities - Support team in any additional task that may arise and not limited to BCM. To support team in delivering the Best in Class RCA program for GBS and the wider BT organisation.

  • Industry specific - Knowledge of the telecoms industry and convergence.

  • GBS and BT specific - Understanding of BT and GBS’s business objectives, systems and processes, and the risk and compliance environment in which GBS operates

Leadership accountabilities:

  • Assisting with the management of certain external regulatory relationships and internal stakeholders.

  • Gives day to day assistance and expert advice to operational management with regard to Compliance issues.

  • May support Principal/Director, RCA on key projects and tasks.

  • Supports and implements plans for projects over medium term to meet business strategy and objectives.

  • GBS wide role, requiring basic commercial acumen to help deliver GBS wide risk management.

  • Conduct open and honest conversations with the team to help them identify their strengths and development areas

Provide strong, dynamic leadership that mentors, develops, and guides team members to efficiently leverage the value of every Transaction.

Experience needed:

  • Overall experience of 7 plus yearsworking in KPO/ BPO in the areas of finance or telecom operations in a global MNC environment is preferred.

  • Minimum 3 years of Experience in Business Continuity role.

  • Working towards a recognised compliance/BCM qualification.

  • Technical knowledge of BCM Framework .

  • Ability to conduct Business Impact Analysis, Risk Analysis.

  • Certification in BCM ISO standards, implementation, auditing is preferred such as BCM Lead implementor, BCM Lead Auditor, CBCI etc.

  • Any automation skills would be an added advantage.

  • First class technician with Intermediate Level expertise in ERM and Governance principles.

  • Proven leader with demonstrable skills in inspiring team and promoting expertise area.

  • Good interpersonal skills.

  • Good understanding of the relevant business area in terms of its business priorities.

  • Good understanding of the role of a BCM lead.

  • Good level of computer literacy.

  • Good organisation skills.

  • Good ability to work in teams.

  • Strong communication and presentation skills.

  • Strong Microsoft Office skills ( Excel, PowerPoint, One Note).

  • Accredited in research and analysis techniques for customer satisfaction roles (e.g. survey tools, statistical analysis and root cause analysis) is preferred

  • Able to scope, agree and deliver measures that will drive and assist in the analysis of business performance.

  • Able to provide the data to enable the business to test/challenge current thinking and to drive the implementation of new practices/policies, and where necessary build alternative strategies that can lead to an improvement in business performance.

  • Experience in Implementing/Mentoring Lean Six Sigma/Problem solving methodologies is preferred.

Key Decision:

  • Normally on a day to day basis, within defined limits prescribed by line management.

  • Identifying future compliance developments and rolling out appropriate compliance programmes to timescales, including managing operational and service requirements.

  • Advising key stakeholders in identifying current risks and implementing additional process / tools to help GBS benefit from world class risk management.

  • Advising key stakeholders in taking decisions related to compliance and risk.

  • Gives both general and detailed assistance in relation to Compliance issues.

  • May operate within supervised parameters, seeking appropriate authority where necessary.

  • Supervising and holding Practitioners to account for their deliverables in an efficient and timely manner.

Ability to impart requirements objectively with evidence to meet wider risk objectives
