QUALIFICATIONS Education and/or Experience: Minimum age 18. Previous experience with the tools, machines and equipment used in the maintenance of grounds, parks or open spaces preferred. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Must possess a valid driver's license.

WAGE: $16.96 /hr.

DESCRIPTION: POSITION SUMMARY Under the supervision of the Parks/Cemetery Superintendent, performs grounds and facilities-related maintenance duties for the Parks Department and the Fort Morgan Cemetery. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Performs duties such as mowing grass, mowing weeds, weed eating, edging grass, spraying and pulling weeds and aerating lawns. Installs and maintains park equipment; including picnic tables, playground equipment, trash receptacles, signs and other similar items. Waters and fertilizes grass and landscaped areas. Utilizes a variety of tools such as rakes and shovels, construction equipment and landscape maintenance equipment. Cleans and maintains equipment; performs basic equipment maintenance. Picks up trash, empties and hauls trash receptacles. Cleans and maintains restrooms. May prepare and paint facilities. Works outside in all kinds of weather. May work individually or with a crew. Performs such other duties as may be assigned
