Bentley Systems Senior UX Researcher in Dublin 2, Ireland

As a member of the global UX team, you will use your knowledge and expertise to drive UX research efforts for new and existing digital-twin-based workflows. Your work will support the research operations and empower product teams with crucial insights synthesized from user feedback.

Your Day-to-Day:

  • Collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders to understand the needs, desires, and behavior of users and use that information to design user friendly and effective products in a fast-paced collaborative environment

  • Identify and prioritise research needs, avoiding duplication and aligning best practice.

  • Provide answers to the challenging and often unknown questions about a product’s design by conducting various types of research, working with cross-functional teams

  • Design and conduct research that are actionable, using appropriate tools and frameworks

  • Analyze and synthesize data from multiple sources and perspectives, using advanced methods such as statistics, data visualization, or thematic analysis.

  • Translate user research findings into insights and design improvements 

  • Work closely with the Product and Design teams to ensure research insights are incorporated. Support the Product and Design teams in establishing successful processes and ways of working.

  • Communicate and present your research findings and recommendations in a compelling and persuasive way, using storytelling, visuals, and data.

  • Share research expertise and knowledge with others and encourage the wider team to actively participate in UX Research, to improve organizational capability and challenge team thinking.

  • Identify best practices in existing and emerging research methodologies and influence and educate other teams and product leadership on the value and best practices of UX research.

  • Lead and mentor others, both within and outside the research team. Define and advocate for the research vision and strategy, aligning it with the organizational objectives and user needs.

  • Responsible for mentoring and coaching junior or mid-level researchers, sharing your knowledge and feedback, and helping them grow their skills and confidence.

  • Take a leadership role in defining the central Research Operations function

What You Bring To The Team:

  • A professional portfolio displaying past research projects and their impact, with emphasis on problem-solving and business goals, and your collaboration with other teams and stakeholders.

  • Leadership experience on a project, managing research work spanning several teams or departments

  • Mastery in both qualitative and quantitative UX Research methods

  • Extensive experience in conducting qualitative generative and evaluative UX research and driving product direction based on evidence

  • A growth Mindset, creativity and curiosity. You should be eager to explore new topics, domains, and technologies, and to experiment with new ways of doing research.

  • Fluency in both written and spoken English  

Additional points for:

  • At least basic familiarity with infrastructure engineering workflows

  • Degree in Human Computer Interaction, Computer Science, User Experience, or related field
