Job Summary

The Project Coordinator for Clinical Projects ("Coordinator") coordinates multiple projects from a small to large scale. The Coordinator manages status reporting, day-to-day operations of project-related activities, ensures stability of project-oriented efforts, and coordinates communication related to project status, progress, deliverables and impacts for key stakeholders in a timely fashion. Works closely with the School-based Health Center (SBHC) Administration and SBHC staff as appropriate to ensure timely and accurate completion of assigned projects. Supports strategic planning endeavors for the SBHC Administrative team. The Clinical Project Coordinator, with oversight by the SBHC Program Manager, is responsible for assuring the high-quality performance and clinical care of staff through orientation and training. Assists SBHC Administration with data collection and performs Medical Assistant clinical chart audits. Provides clinical coverage at each SBHC site when necessary.

Essential Functions:

Prepares patients for visit by directing and/or accompanying patients to the examining room; providing examination gowns and drapes; helping patients position themselves for the examination and/or treatment; arranging examining room instruments, supplies, and equipment. (40%) Support multiple projects to support the strategic initiatives of the SBHC Administrative team by mentoring, identifying competencies and supporting participants goals in the entry level pathways program. (30%) Conducts special outreach projects (10%) Maintain, track and report on the completion of Denver Health SBHC Quality Indicators as determined by grants and the department of Pediatrics. (10%) Documents contact and necessary intervention in the medical record in a timely and accurate way. (10%) Education:

No High School Diploma and/or No GED Graduate from an accredited program in Medical Office Assisting Required or No High School Diploma and/or No GED Accredited program of Licensed Practical Nursing with an active LPN license Work Experience:

1-3 years Experience as a Medical, preferred Required 1-3 years Experience as Medical Assistant Lead or other leadership role, preferred 1-3 years Experience working in school-age student services, preferred Licenses:

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Written and oral presentation skills Ability to balance multiple projects concurrently, with minimum two years' experience of leading special projects with minimal supervision Strong time management skills Knowledge of medical office practice Knowledge of examination, diagnostic, and treatment room procedures Knowledge of and the ability to use medical equipment and instruments to administer patient care. Knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions to establish a safe work environment Skill in assisting in a variety of treatments as directed Skill in taking vital signs. Skill in maintaining records and recording test results Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with patients, employees, physicians and the public Ability to maintain quality control standards Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations Ability to interpret, adapt and apply guidelines and procedures Bilingual skills preferred Skills in orientation and training of other medical assistants as well as continued observation and support
