Payroll Specialist -

Performs a variety of complex functions in the preparation, processing, maintenance, verification, and reconciliation of the employee payroll, pay, & benefits records, and leave information.

Duties and Responsibilities

- - Collect, analyze, update, and reconcile payroll data as needed. - Enter information into driver payroll software. - Research, analyze, and record payroll discrepancies and process appropriate corrections. - Apply benefits payments for drivers as needed (FMLA) for leave. - Manage driver reimbursements through payroll. - Verify the accuracy of employee changes, including pay increases. - Determine if payroll data complies with legally mandated and company policies. - Attend workshops and trainings as directed. - Assist with various driver payroll tasks as they develop.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

- - Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision, as well as in a team environment. - Ability to work with discretion and maintain confidentiality of information. - Ability to be flexible in a fast paced, ever-changing environment. - Must have excellent communication skills, both orally and in writing. - Must have excellent computer skills and be proficient in Word and Excel. - Detail oriented, with strong organizational and time management skills. - Ability to recognize and respond to unsafe working conditions. - Participate in corrective and preventative actions and continuous improvement projects.

Special Requirements

- - Must be at least 18 years of age or older. - Associate Degree or minimum 3 years relevant experience. - Must be willing to work overtime, holidays, and weekends as requested by Supervisor.
