Summary Description: The Alumni and Family Relations Coordinator is a full time position that provides administrative support to the Alumni and Family Relations team to implement programming that builds affinity among Colorado College alumni and parents. The position will support the Associate Vice President for Engagement and assist with young alumni programming.

Anticipated Salary Range: $18.00 to $20.77 per hour

Responsibilities:

Assist the Associate Vice President for Engagement (AVP), coordinate and manage calendar, schedule meetings, assist with pcard and expense approvals, budget reports, travel, activity reports and other communications. Assist Alumni & Family Relations (AFR) staff to execute events including request mail and email lists, update and report event attendance, create nametags, build event registrations, and prepare email marke Oversee operation of Tutt Alumni House, including the ongoing functionality for alumni and the campus community; serve as Momentus venue manager for meeting space; oversee printer management. Supervise AFR student workers. Assist the Alumni engagement team with young alumni programming.

Additional Responsibilities:

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent plus a minimum of three years' experience in higher education, events management, customer service or a related field; proven experience learning and developing proficiency with new computer software programs; excellent organizational and customer service skills; good judgment, excellent oral and written communication skills; critical thinking and problem-solving skills; ability to handle confidential/sensitive information with discretion; ability to communicate effectively and develop positive relationships with people from different cultural backgrounds; ability to operate standard office equipment.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with Salesforce (or other content management software), Blackthorn (or other event management software), Cascade (or other website management software), Emma (or email marketing software), or Ungerboek (venue management software); excellent public speaking and negotiation skills; demonstrated knowledge of how to use social media as a communication and marketing tool; prior experience with alumni relations programs and knowledge of industry best practices.
