Jacobs Senior Electrical Engineer (f/m/d) in Cologno Monzese, Italy

Within our Electrical Department in the Italy office we are looking for Senior Electrical Engineer.

Key duties of the role include:

  • Power and lighting electrical systems, earthing, lightning etc. design

  • Life safety and security systems design

  • ICT systems design

  • Coordinate assigned projects locally, and with other Jacobs Offices

  • Knowledge in local and international technical codes

  • Knowledge of main electrical software (Etap, SKM, Neplan, etc.)

  • Perform studies and execution of project design activities

  • Accountability on electrical project schedule, progress reports and cost estimates and change management process

  • Supervise Juniors & Intermediate electrical engineers and designers. Interface with design group to monitor and control project schedule, electrical hours and electrical cost for their area of responsibility

  • Ensure consistency and integrity of electrical design throughout project and review design for logic and functionality

  • Perform design of plant distribution system including protection scheme

  • Develop detailed electrical specifications for the project

  • Define and develop the work share scope of work and execute effectively the work as per project requirements

  • Perform pre-commissioning and start-up activities for electrical systems

Here’s what you’ll need :

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in the specifications, engineering, design, construction and start-up with EPC/EPCM consulting firms

  • Experience in Pharmaceutical, Industrial and Buildings business would be an asset

  • Experience in high, medium and low voltage design and equipment would be an asset

  • Responsibilities as a Lead Engineer on medium sized projects or Area Lead on large sized projects with technical support and leadership. Promote workshare execution with other Jacobs Offices

  • Knowledge in local and international technical codes

  • Knowledge of main electrical software (Etap, SKM, Neplan, etc.)

  • Availability for business trips
