Diaconia LLC Business Analyst in College Park, Maryland

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Solution Design: Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable, efficient, and sustainable Salesforce solutions.
  2. Customization and Configuration: Customize and configure Salesforce applications, objects, fields, workflows, process builder, and other declarative features to meet business needs.
  3. Apex and Visualforce Development: Develop custom Apex code, triggers, Visualforce pages, Lightning components, and other programmatic solutions to extend Salesforce functionality.
  4. Integration: Integrate Salesforce with external systems and third-party applications using REST/SOAP APIs, middleware, and other integration tools to ensure seamless data flow and interoperability.
  5. Data Management: Design and implement data models, data migration strategies, and data governance practices to maintain data integrity and quality within Salesforce orgs.
  6. Security and Compliance: Implement security controls, user permissions, and data access policies in accordance with security standards and regulatory requirements.
  7. Testing and Deployment: Develop and execute unit tests, integration tests, and user acceptance tests to validate Salesforce solutions and ensure they meet quality standards prior to deployment.
  8. Documentation and Training: Create and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, architecture diagrams, and user guides, and conduct training sessions for end-users to facilitate knowledge transfer and adoption of Salesforce solutions.
  9. Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on Salesforce best practices, new features, and industry trends, and identify opportunities for process improvement, optimization, and innovation within the Salesforce ecosystem.
  10. Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, administrators, and stakeholders, to gather requirements, define project scope, and deliver high-quality solutions on time and within budget.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in Salesforce development, with a strong understanding of Salesforce platform capabilities, data model, security model, and best practices.
  • U.S. Citizenship Required for U.S. Government client. No Exceptions!
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Required U.S. Government Public Trust and/or Secret Clearance.
  • Proficiency in Salesforce development technologies, including Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Web Components, SOQL, SOSL, REST/SOAP APIs, and Salesforce CLI.
  • Experience with Salesforce DX, version control systems (e.g., Git), and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines is desirable.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex requirements and design effective solutions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders and teams.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of environmental regulations, policies, and initiatives is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Salesforce Developer certification (e.g., Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I/II) is required; additional certifications such as Salesforce Administrator or Salesforce App Builder are a plus.
