Positions Available:

Help build the next generation of leaders by serving young people ages 15-24 in the Cleveland Metropolitan School District students during the school day, in afterschool and summer programs at Promise Academy.

Promise Academy focuses on providing students that have struggled in traditional high schools an opportunity to receive their diploma while developing the tools to be successful in whatever they choose to do next. Each student receives a customized curriculum and is supported by on site teachers and staff.

As a member of the Promise Academy team, you'll be working with a group of people dedicated to the well-being and future of their students. Through one on one and small group work you'll have the opportunity to make a significant and lasting impact on the young people you work with.

Below is a brief description of some of their current programs

High School Diploma: Students at Promise graduate with a full high school diploma, rather than a GED or Certificate of Completion. This qualifies them for higher education, admission to trade school, military or the world of work.

*Career Based Intervention: *Through a combination of in-class educational programs and on-site experiential learning, students build the skills necessary to move into the work force.

Industry Credentials: Earning an industry-recognized credential can place students on the path to success after high school. For some this might be moving on to college while for others it might be direct entry into a career of their choosing. Promise currently offers STNA certification and is exploring additional credential programs.

College Credit Plus: Earning college and high school credits at the same time can not only provide a cost savings, it can also help students adjust to the demands of college in a supportive environment. This free opportunity is available at no cost to the student.
