The Washington County Welcome Center is actively seeking a Tourist Information Supervisor to become a valuable member of their team. DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this role, you will oversee the day-to-day activities at the PennDOT Welcome Centers and report directly to either the Welcome Center Division Manager or the Tourism Services Manager. Key responsibilities of this position include ensuring that visitors to the Welcome Center facilities receive timely, relevant, and precise information and resources to enhance their travel experiences. You will have an opportunity to enhance the level of customer service provided to all stakeholders of the PennDOT Welcome Centers, including travelers, tourism industry collaborators, internal clients, staff members, suppliers, and others involved. You will be part of an amazing team of professionals working towards enhancing PennDOT's outreach initiatives in the tourism sector and building stronger relationships with key players in the industry to promote tourism effectively.

Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment (40-hour work week) This position works a 6-week rotating 40-hour per week work schedule. Days and hours can vary from Sunday to Saturday, hours of operation are temporarily 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM, with a 30-minute unscheduled lunch. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: One year as a Tourist Information Counselor; or Two years of experience in work involving public contact; or An equivalent combination of experience and training.

Additional Requirement: You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Preferred Qualification (not required):

Possession of supervisory experience
