Job Summary

Comcast Network Facilities & Energy team is looking for a Systems Engineer on the Critical Infrastructure Tools Integration team. They will be responsible for application development, participate in planning, design, and testing. In addition, systems deployment, configuration, and vetting /aggregating end user requirements for implementation. The successful candidate will have broad experience in the following critical domains and have a history of working with the following Data Center Tools & Skills: • Infrastructure as Code – using tools such as Terraform, Packer, and Cloud-Init • Container Orchestration such as Kubernetes or Docker Swarm • Broad background knowledge of infrastructure operations including Linux, Load Balancing, Firewalling and Storage. •

Responsibilities

Other responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Acts as a key contributor, technical resource, and cross-functional liaison on integrations, planning and design.

• Lead routine maintenance & testing efforts for straightforward functions and systems.

• Contributes to resolution of problems of diverse scopes as they arise, escalating complex issues where analysis of the situation requires in-depth evaluation and judgement.

• Work with both internal and external groups to ensure OS and Application patching is being completed and any security vulnerabilities are being addressed.

• Document & maintain defects and enhancements.

• Write and or contribute to technical documentation

• Develop and or review standards documents, policies, and procedures.

• Work with Team to ensure platform domain interests and requirements are understood and represented to influence development.

• Gather feature request implementation for supported applications, utilizing internal and external development.

• Builds and maintains ongoing relationships with application end users.

Qualifications

• Needs 3-5 year Python Experience

• Needs 7 years Linux Experience (Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) preferred)

• Needs Kubernetes Experience (CKA/CKAD preferred)

• 3+ years of relevant technical operations or engineering experience.

• Infrastructure as Code Experience (CI/CD Experience with Concorse CI, Ansible Tower/AWX)

• Strong verbal and written communication skills and demonstrated technical leadership.

• Builds and maintains ongoing relationships with application end users.

• Previous experience with the ServiceNow ITSM module is strongly desired.
