Robert Half Administrative Assistant in Chattanooga, Tennessee

Description

We are in search of an Administrative Assistant to join our client's non-profit organization located in Chattanooga, Tennessee. The chosen individual will play a crucial role in supporting two Directors, enhancing operational efficiency, and ensuring seamless communication within the organization. This role offers a contract-to-hire employment opportunity, allowing the successful candidate to fully immerse in their mission and contribute to our organizational success. This role is a remote opportunity and requires potential candidates to reside in the state of Tennessee.

Responsibilities:

• Manage, audit, and ensure compliance of purchase orders with organizational policies and procedures.

• Streamline processes and create organizational systems to enhance efficiency.

• Establish and maintain checklists for various administrative tasks.

• Develop a systematic approach for receiving, reviewing, and approving purchase orders.

• Coordinate hotel reservations and book meeting spaces for organizational events and activities.

• Compose emails on behalf of the Directors, ensuring clarity and professionalism.

• Use PowerPoint and Canva to create visually appealing presentations and documents.

• Provide administrative support to the Directors as needed.

Requirements

• Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in an Administrative Assistant role or similar position within the non-profit sector; remote administrative support experience is required.

• Demonstrated skills in streamlining administrative processes to improve efficiency and productivity

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact professionally with all levels of staff, volunteers, and donors

• Proficiency in using standard office software such as Microsoft Office Suite, email clients, and internet browsers

• Experience in coordinating meetings, managing calendars, and handling office logistics

• Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality

• Knowledge of non-profit sector policies and procedures would be an advantage

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field would be preferred

• Willingness to learn new skills and take on additional responsibilities as required.
