Description We are offering an exciting opportunity in the amusement and recreation services industry situated in Charlottesville, Virginia, United States. The role is for a Sr. Accountant, where you will be responsible for carrying out full GL accounting functions in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Processing full payroll and taxes.

• Handling Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP).

• Management of Fixed Assets.

• Preparation and posting of Journal Entries.

• Proficiency in using QuickBooks software, Word, Excel.

• Deploying strong problem-solving skills to address financial issues.

• Demonstrating the ability to work independently.

• Conducting account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, and bank reconciliations.

• Managing General Ledger, Journal Entries, and Microsoft Excel operations.

• Overseeing the month-end close process.

• Utilizing NetSuite for various accounting functions. Requirements • Minimum of 7 years of experience in a similar role as a Sr. Accountant in the Amusement/Recreation Ser/Entertainment industry.

• Proficiency in Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, Bank Reconciliations, and General Ledger management.

• Demonstrated ability in managing Journal Entries.

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

• Experience in performing Month End Close processes.

• Familiarity with accounting software, specifically NetSuite.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

• Knowledge of financial regulations and legislation.

• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is preferred.

• Experience in budgeting and forecasting is a plus.
