The selected candidate will fill the position commensurate with their education and experience. PRIMARY DUTIES – Health Program Specialist * Develop and schedule health related program work/training plan in accordance with specifications and funding limitations to shape the program. Oversee daily operations; organize health program activities; and set priorities. * Assist in the management of thePATIENTS programand contribute to assignments and projects that require significant evaluation, originality, and ingenuity. * Provide solutions to issues and judgment outside of pre-established guidelines or processes. * Provide routine and non-routine technical advice, problem solving assistance, and answer questions. Interpret program goals and policies, and provide administrative support to the program team. * Assist in conceptualization, development, and preparation of written products such as training materials, website content, final progress reports, and promotional materials. * Assist in the development and implementation of recruiting plans for program participants, members, and volunteers. * Develop and facilitate workshops, meetings or conferences, coordinate logistics, scheduling, and participant communications. * Assist in evaluating the health program effectiveness to develop improved methods; devise evaluation methodology and implements; analyze results and recommend and/or take appropriate action. Has the authority to formulate, affect, interpret, or implement policies or procedures to ensure effective operation of the program. * Interact and maintain liaison with students, faculty, staff, and outside/community/healthcare agencies in facilitating program objectives. Serve as a primary contact and think critically about all aspects of the health program to resolve questions and make decisions related to the program. * Prepare or assist in preparation of funding grant proposal and/or funding continuation from outside sponsors for program. * Perform other administrative duties having a significant impact on the overall goals of program. PRIMARY DUTIES – Senior Health Program Specialist * Performs all duties of Health Program Specialist position. * Work in collaboration with programmatic leadership to plan, develop, administer and coordinate new or revised goals and objectives for the Professor’s Academy. * Ensure that goals, objectives, and deliverables specified are accomplished in accordance with priorities, time and funding limitations, or other specifications. * Provide advanced administrative and research support to program leadership. * Evaluate program effectiveness to develop and implement improved methods. * Lead development and content of presentations, articles, training, and other forms of content dissemination. * Perform specialized administrative functions, including research and data analyses, program coordination and monitoring, data collection, database creation, surveys, reports, and recommends program changes. * Monitor and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders (i.e.: contractors, state agencies, legislature, and sponsors) to ensure compliance with work plan and deliverables. * Lead preparation of final program financial reports for submission to management or outside agencies. * Prepare pre- and post- award reports regarding funding and/or funding continuation from outside sponsors. * Develop and facilitate workshops, meetings, training, or conferences with high impact on program and/or participants. * Coordinate logistics, scheduling, communications, and participation. * Coordinate health-related program activities through delegation of assignments to staff. May supervise and mentor other support staff. * Performs other duties as assigned. Specific duties and responsibilities may vary based upon departmental needs. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS – Health Program Specialist Education:Bachelor’s degree in a health-related field. Preferred Education:Bachelor’s degree or master's degree in business management, communications, public health and/or related field preferred. Experience:Two (2) years of experience in a healthcare field. Experience in program planning, coordination, or training is required. Certification/Licensure:Appropriate state licensure may be required as defined based upon nature of program. Other: *Related healthcare experience to program may be substituted for education. *MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS – Senior Health Program Specialist Education: *Bachelor’s degree in a health-related field. *Preferred Education:Bachelor’s degree or master's degree in business management, communications, public health and/or related field preferred. Experience:Three (3) years of experience in a healthcare field. Experience in program planning, coordination, or training is required. Supervisory Experience:One (1) year in work coordination, training, and daily oversight of staff, students, or volunteers preferred. Certification/Licensure:Appropriate state licensure may be required as defined based upon nature of program. Other: *Related healthcare experience to program may be substituted for education. *KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES Knowledge of position requirements.
