The Walt Disney Company Sr Omni-Channel Analyst in Anaheim, California

Consumer Insight, Measurement & Analytics (CIMA) is a part of Disney Experiences and is a center of excellence leading strategy development and decision making through actionable data analytics, integration, and insights. Within CIMA, the Digital and Travel Operations Analytics (DTOA) team is focused on leveraging best practices in analytics to capture data, analyze, and optimize our digital and contact center channels to drive Guest satisfaction and business outcomes.

The Senior Omni-Channel Analyst is a key contributor to the DTOA Analytics team. They will have the opportunity to work with large data sets and cloud environment tools and become a subject matter expert with data and source systems used within lines of business supported by CIMA.

To succeed in the role, the Senior Omni-Channel Analyst must possess a passion for data, quality assurance, and analysis as this role will support partners and clients with data architecture, queries, and processes to enable more efficient and consistent reporting and analysis in the organization.

To excel in the role, the Senior Omni-Channel Analyst must further the analytical sophistication of the team.

The position reports to the Senior Manager, Digital Analytics and does not have direct reports.

What you will do:

  • Work with business partners to determine analytical/reporting needs and refine requirements

  • Analyze and mine data to derive insights in time allotted

  • Make business recommendations based on the data findings

  • Constantly look for opportunities to drive more efficient and innovative solutions to analytical requests

  • Document data requirements, and code using DTOA approved tools and standards

  • Perform data quality checks / audits to ensure accuracy and provide data notes for insights

  • Partner with the Data Strategy / Data Services teams to highlight new data needs and help define requirements for business logic, recurring processes

  • Develop efficient and value-added reporting / insights to business partners using organization approved tools and delivery methods

  • Convey and highlight recommendations to ‘tell the story’ with data

  • Ensure partners understand the data / tables / processes

What you will need:

  • 4+ years of relational database/data warehouse experience

  • 4+ years of analytical experience

  • Ability to excel in a fast-paced, complex, and ambiguous business environment

  • Ability to deliver work on-time

  • Team player mentality

  • “Get stuff done” approach

  • Attentiveness to detail

  • Desire to learn and grow with an organization

  • Proficiency in SQL

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite

  • Proficiency with business intelligence tools such as Tableau, PowerBI, or MicroStrategy

What will set you apart:

  • 6+ years of relational database experience

  • 6+ years of analytical experience

  • Ability to apply statistical rigor to analyses

  • Knowledge of “big data” environments and tools

  • Experience with digital and contact center data and analytics

  • Experience with data warehouse platforms such as Snowflake, Cloudera/Hadoop

  • Experience with text mining and natural language processing

  • Proficiency in , R, and/or Python programming languages

  • Interest in machine learning and artificial intelligence

Bachelor’s degree in analytical/quantitative field – e.g. statistics, economics, mathematics, marketing analytics, engineering, etc

The hiring range for this position in California is $ $112,600.00-$151,000.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
