Kelly Services Manufacturing Systems Specialist in Albany, Oregon

Salary/Pay Rate/Compensation: $25/hr

Schedule: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm must be ok with overtime

What’s a typical day as a Manufacturing Systems Specialist? You’ll be:

• Coordinating completion of manufacturing projects and acting as a liaison between Manufacturing and other departments

• Assisting the manufacturing department in generating and maintaining data used to support company and departmental goals

• Demonstrating process improvement capability for projects, identifying constraints, determining appropriate actions, and implementing changes to improve performance

• Creating and maintaining documentation of procedures related to the position and continuous improvement projects

• Troubleshooting processes and analyzing inventory control, training material, and existing manufacturing systems

This job might be an outstanding fit if you:

• Have an understanding of inventory control systems

• Have proficiency in coding (Visual Basics, SQL) desired

• Have demonstrated strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications

• Can work with a high level of autonomy and adjust approach to meet company and department goals

• Can exercise independent judgment and discretion to apply knowledge to variable situations

• Can maintain confidentiality and participate in continuous improvement of department procedures and processes

• Have a bachelor’s degree in a science or engineering related field preferred, or equivalent work experience and education

• Have 2 years’ experience teaching advanced applications of MS Word, Excel, email client, and windows operating systems

• Have a technical writing background desired

• Have demonstrated strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications

• Have a current, valid driver’s license and provide proof of current automobile insurance

• Have reliable transportation to transport oneself between company facilities during work hours and to and from off-site company events
