Overview
The Manager leads most engagements with supervision from a Sr. Manager or Partner. The Manager is tasked with reviewing staff work and providing outstanding client service to our Business clients.
Duties & Responsibilities
Maintaining multiple client relationships and providing consulting and accounting services in a proactive manner
Develops and strengthens long-term relationships with senior client management and peer client levels.
Preparing and analyzing accounting records and financial statements
Preparing/reviewing bank reconciliations and other account analysis
Helping clients with closing the books and creating adjusting journal entries
Assisting clients in getting their books and records in good financial order
Preparing timely monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and supporting workpapers
Assisting the business with understanding and implementing internal controls and key business management policies
Structures work teams to successfully meet client expectations and help develop strong client partnerships.
Becoming a Trusted Business Advisor to your clients
Knowledge and Skills:
QuickBooks Online and Desktop experience, ProAdvisor a plus
Experience with QuickBooks project consulting, training and implementations
Experience in compilations and reviews
Experience in preparing and analyzing accounting records and financial statements
Ability to work with multiple clients, staff and managers
Prior managerial experience required
Education and Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or associate’s degree with appropriate experience
A level of technical competence as demonstrated through either: CPA, other professional credentials (i.e. CMA, EA, etc.), advanced degrees (Masters or PhD), and/or significant relevant experience is required
4+ years accounting experience, public accounting experience desired
Strong team management skills - the ability to lead, motivate, and coach teams of people.
Demonstrated ability and presence as a role model for other staff and professionals ,including as a result of professional and technical reputation
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent command of excel and word
Ability to multi-task and meet or exceed deadline
Strong time management, organizational and communication skills
